# Build Your Rental Website with the Fleetwire WordPress Plugin

# 🚗 Build Your Rental Website with the Fleetwire WordPress Plugin

Already have a WordPress site, or starting a new one? The [Fleetwire plugin](https://wordpress.org/plugins/fleetwire-fleet-management/) turns it into a car rental website in a few minutes. Connect your Fleetwire account, click **Build my rental site**, and you get Home, Our Fleet, FAQ, Contact and a page for every vehicle, filled with your own photos, prices and live availability. Renters book through Fleetwire's secure checkout, so your bookings, payments and agreements stay in one place.

---

## 🎯 What You Get

* **Ready-made pages**: Home, Our Fleet, FAQ, Contact and one page per vehicle, created as drafts for you to review.
* **Seven Fleetwire blocks**: vehicles grid, search, vehicle card, book button, photo gallery, vehicle details and an availability calendar.
* **Twelve car rental sections**: hero with date search, trust bar, fleet grid, FAQ, reviews, contact and more, ready to drop into any page.
* **Always in sync**: change a price or add a vehicle in Fleetwire and your website updates on its own.

|| **Note**: You need a Fleetwire account and WordPress 6.3 or later. Nothing is published or overwritten until you choose to publish.

---

## 🛠 Step 1: Install and Connect the Plugin

1. In WordPress, go to **Plugins › Add New**, search for **Fleetwire**, then click **Install** and **Activate**.
2. In your Fleetwire dashboard, go to **Settings › Booking page › Embed & install** and copy your **Company ID**.
3. In WordPress, open **Fleetwire** from the admin menu. Paste your Company ID and click **Save settings**.

Once you save, the plugin opens its **Dashboard**. It shows your connection, your progress and the next step to take.

| **Tip**: The **Integration Token** field is optional. Add a WordPress integration token from Fleetwire if you want your upcoming pickups and returns on the dashboard. Your website works without it.

---

## 🏗 Step 2: Build Your Rental Site

1. In the Fleetwire menu, click **Build site**.
2. Under **Pages**, keep the pages you want. If your site already has a page such as an FAQ, it's unticked and your page is used instead, so nothing is duplicated.
3. Under **Vehicle pages**, pick the vehicles that should get their own page (up to 12 at a time).
4. Optionally tick **Use Home as my front page once I publish it** and **Add Home, Our Fleet, FAQ and Contact to my site menu**.
5. Click **Build my rental site**.

![Choose your pages, vehicles and options](https://app.fleetwire.io/images/help/website-builder/03-build-my-rental-site.png)

The plugin creates your pages as drafts and lists them with **Edit** and **Preview** links.

| **Pro Tip**: Open each draft with **Edit** and make the text yours: your FAQ answers, requirements, address and hours. The vehicle names, photos, prices and booking buttons fill in automatically.

---

## 🚀 Step 3: Review and Publish

When you're happy with the drafts, click **Publish all draft pages** at the bottom of the Build site screen and confirm. Or publish pages one by one from the editor.

If you ticked the front page option, your new Home becomes the front page as soon as it's published. Your previous home page stays live until then.

Here's what the finished pages look like. They use your theme's fonts and colors:

![A vehicle page with a photo gallery and a booking card](https://app.fleetwire.io/images/help/website-builder/07-vehicle-page.jpg)

| **Quick Tip**: If your theme shows the page title (like "Home") above the hero, open the page, click **Template** in the page settings and choose **Page No Title**. If your menu lists every vehicle page, edit the menu under **Appearance › Editor › Navigation** and keep just Home, Our Fleet, FAQ and Contact.

---

## 🧩 Step 4: Add Fleetwire Blocks Anywhere

Add Fleetwire to any page or post, not just the built ones.

1. In the block editor, click **+** and search for **Fleetwire**.
2. Pick a block. Blocks for a single vehicle ask you to choose the vehicle from a list.

To add a whole section at once, open the inserter's **Patterns** tab and choose **Fleetwire – Car Rental**:

---

## 🔎 Step 5: Filters, Sorting and Availability

**Let renters filter your fleet.** Select the **Fleetwire Vehicles** block, then in the block settings turn on **Let renters filter and sort**. Renters can filter by vehicle type, seats and price, and sort by price. Use **Starting order** to choose how the list sorts first.

**Show when a vehicle is free.** Add the **Fleetwire Availability Calendar** block to a vehicle page and pick the vehicle. Booked days are greyed out, and the dates a renter picks carry straight into checkout. Choose one or two months and change the button text in the block settings.

## ❓ Troubleshooting

* **"Your vehicles could not be loaded"**: open **Fleetwire › Dashboard** and click **Check connection**. Make sure the Company ID matches **Settings › Booking page › Embed & install** in Fleetwire.
* **A vehicle is missing**: only bookable vehicles appear. Check that the listing is active, approved and not paused in Fleetwire.
* **Prices or photos look out of date**: they load live from Fleetwire. In the block editor, use **Refresh vehicle list** in the block settings.
* **Using Elementor or the classic editor?** Every block has a shortcode. Open **Fleetwire › Shortcodes**, pick a vehicle and copy the code. See [Embed Fleetwire Listings on Your WordPress Site](https://help.fleetwire.io/en/article/embed-fleetwire-listings-on-your-wordpress-site-u975ix/).

---

## 🌟 Your Rental Website Is Live!

Renters can now browse your fleet, check dates and book on your own website. Add vehicles in Fleetwire and build pages for them any time from **Fleetwire › Build site**.

## 🚀 Next Steps

* **Customize your store**: set branding, rental periods and payments in Fleetwire under [Settings](https://tenant.fleetwire.io/settings) (**Business › Branding**, **Booking page › Look & style** and **Checkout & documents › Payment collection**).
* **See your week in WordPress**: [Connect the host dashboard](https://help.fleetwire.io/en/) with a WordPress integration token.
* **Need help?** Contact us via the in-app chat.

Happy renting! 🚗
