Your Fleetwire account holds your bookings, payments, and customer data — so keeping it secure matters. **Two-factor authentication (2FA)** adds a second step at login (usually a code from your phone), so even if someone has your password, they can’t get in without your device. Here’s how to turn on 2FA and keep your account locked down!

Enabling 2FA helps you:

## 🛠 Step-by-Step: Enable 2FA

Follow these steps to turn on two-factor authentication in Fleetwire.

### Step 1: Open Security Settings

1. In your Fleetwire dashboard, click **Settings** in the left sidebar.
2. Under **Security**, select **Security** (or the main security page).
3. Find the **Two-factor authentication** or **2FA** section.

### Step 2: Turn On 2FA and Use an Authenticator App

1. Click **Enable two-factor authentication** (or similar).
2. You’ll see a **QR code** and a **secret key** (manual entry code).
3. Open an authenticator app on your phone (e.g., Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password).
4. Scan the QR code or enter the secret key to add Fleetwire to the app.
5. Enter the **6-digit code** shown in the app into Fleetwire.
6. Click **Verify** or **Enable** to complete setup.

1. The next time you log in, enter your email and password as usual.
