# Keyboard Shortcuts

Keyboard shortcuts help you navigate Fleetwire more efficiently without reaching for your mouse. As new features are added, additional shortcuts will appear here.

## Available Shortcuts

| Open Global Search | **⌘ K** | **Ctrl + K** |
| Show Keyboard Shortcuts | **?** or **⌘ /** | **?** or **Ctrl + /** |
| Toggle the sidebar | **⌘ B** | **Ctrl + B** |
| Open Settings | **⌘ ,** | **Ctrl + ,** |
| Toggle Dark Mode | **⌘ ⇧ L** | **Ctrl + Shift + L** |
| Close dialogs and overlays | **Esc** | **Esc** |

> **Note:** Keyboard shortcuts are disabled while you're typing in a text field or form input.

## Global Search

Press **⌘ K** on Mac or **Ctrl + K** on Windows/Linux to instantly open Global Search from anywhere in the Fleetwire dashboard.

From there you can quickly find:

* Bookings
* Customers
* Listings
* Trip Extras
* Settings
* Email Templates
* Taxes & Fees
* Other supported resources

Start typing to see matching results.

Use the **Up** and **Down** arrow keys to navigate the results, then press **Enter** to open the selected item.

## Tips

* Keyboard shortcuts are disabled while you're typing in a text field or form input.
* Press **Esc** to close open dialogs and overlays.
* Use **⌘ B** or **Ctrl + B** to quickly show or hide the sidebar.
* Press **?** or **⌘ /** (Mac) or **Ctrl + /** (Windows/Linux) at any time to view available shortcuts.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Why aren't keyboard shortcuts working?

Keyboard shortcuts are temporarily disabled while your cursor is inside a text field or other input. Click outside the field or finish editing to use shortcuts again.

### Are keyboard shortcuts available on Windows?

Yes. Fleetwire supports keyboard shortcuts on both macOS and Windows/Linux. Most shortcuts use the **Ctrl** key on Windows instead of **⌘**.
