Want to control whether customers can cancel their own reservations online? Fleetwire gives you the flexibility to allow or restrict guest cancellations directly from their confirmation page.
This setting helps you balance customer convenience with operational control.
π― Why Manage Guest Cancellations?
Choosing whether to allow online cancellations helps you:
- Reduce Admin Work β Let guests cancel without contacting your team.
- Maintain Control β Prevent last-minute cancellations if your policy requires manual approval.
- Enforce Policies β Align cancellation access with your rental terms.
π How to Enable or Disable Guest Cancellations
You can control this setting from your Online Reservations settings.
Step 1: Go to Online Reservation Settings
- In your Fleetwire dashboard, navigate to Settings > Online Reservations
- Scroll to the Guest Cancellation section.
Step 2: Choose Your Preferred Option
Youβll see two options:
- Donβt allow guest cancellation online Guests must contact you directly to cancel a reservation.
- Allow guest cancellation online Guests can cancel their booking from their confirmation status page. Select the option that matches your cancellation policy.
Step 3: Save Your Changes
Click Update to apply your changes.
Your new setting will take effect immediately for future reservations.
