🛠 How to Set Up Delivery & Pickup Locations



Follow these steps to configure delivery and pickup locations for your branches in Fleetwire, and ensure they appear during checkout.

Step 1: Add a Delivery or Pickup Location



Set up a new location with all the necessary details for your customers.

In your Fleetwire dashboard, go to Settings > Delivery.
Click Add New Location to create a new delivery or pickup option.
Fill in the following fields:
- Name: The name shown in the checkout dropdown (e.g., SFO Airport Pickup).
- Price: The cost of this option (can be free, e.g., $0 or $10 for delivery).
- Tax Profile: (Optional) Select a tax profile if applicable.
- Description: Add details about the location (e.g., Meet at Terminal 1, Arrivals).
- Type: Choose the location type (e.g., Airport, Hotel, Custom).
- Method: Select Pickup or Delivery.
- Branch: Assign the location to a specific branch (e.g., San Francisco Branch).
Click Save to add the location.

Pro Tip: Use clear, descriptive names like Downtown Hotel Delivery to help customers choose the right option at checkout.


Step 2: Assign a Branch to Your Listings



Ensure your listings are linked to a branch so the delivery and pickup options appear during checkout.

Go to Listings and select a vehicle.
Click the Settings tab for that listing.
In the Branch section, select the branch you assigned the delivery/pickup location to (e.g., San Francisco Branch).
Click Save to update the listing.

Important: Delivery and pickup locations won’t appear at checkout unless the listing is assigned to a branch. Double-check your branch settings to avoid confusion.

Step 3: Test the Checkout Experience



Verify that your delivery and pickup locations are available and working as expected.

Visit your online store (e.g., testcompany.fleetwire.io) and start a test checkout with a listing tied to the branch.
During checkout, look for the delivery/pickup dropdown and select one of your new locations.
Confirm the price (if any) is applied correctly and the description is visible.
Complete the test booking and check the order in Orders to ensure the location details are recorded.
