🎯 Why Use Team Accounts?

Team accounts in Fleetwire help you:

Control Access: Set permissions to limit access to sensitive data or actions.
Streamline Roles: Customize the interface for specific tasks (e.g., financials, listings management).
Enhance Security: Prevent unwanted actions by restricting permissions.
Scale Your Team: Add members based on your plan’s seat limit, perfect for growing businesses.

Note: The maximum number of seats for team members depends on your current pricing plan. Check your plan details in Billing Settings or learn more in Manage Your Fleetwire Subscription Plan.

đź›  How to Manage Team Accounts

Follow these steps to add team accounts, set permissions, and deactivate accounts in Fleetwire.

Step 1: Add a Team Account

Invite a new team member to join your Fleetwire workspace.

In your Fleetwire dashboard, go to Settings > Team.
Under the Team section, click Invite Team Member.
Fill in your co-worker’s details:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
Set the permissions for the account (see Step 3 for details).
Click Send Invite to email an invitation to the new team member.

The team member will receive an email with a link to create their account. They’ll need to click the link and set a new password to gain access to your Fleetwire workspace.

Pro Tip: Invite your financial manager today to give them access to billing features without exposing listings or availability settings.

Step 2: Set Permissions for Team Accounts

Restrict access to certain features to ensure team members only see or do what’s necessary for their role.

Go to Settings > Team in your dashboard.
Find the team account you want to configure.
Tick the boxes for each permission you want to grant (e.g., access to financials, orders, or listings).

Note: The account owner’s permissions (the account used to register for Fleetwire) cannot be changed. Additionally, permissions are only available on Pro and Premium plans—upgrade if needed in Billing Settings.

Quick Tip: For an accounting role, grant permissions to view orders and financials but restrict access to listings and customer data to keep sensitive information secure.

Step 3: Deactivate a Team Account

Revoke a team member’s access if they no longer need it. Deactivated users don’t count toward your plan’s seat limit.

Navigate to Settings > Team.
Find the team account you want to deactivate.
Click the account and select Deactivate (or a similar option, depending on your plan).
Confirm the deactivation to revoke their access.

Pro Tip: Deactivating a team member frees up a seat for a new hire without needing to upgrade your plan—perfect for team changes!
