Custom Domain

When you turn on Online Reservations, your checkout is available through fleetwire.io by default. Your URL will look like this: example.fleetwire.io/checkout

If you would like to use a different URL, and you are on the Fleetwire Premium subscription, you can create one by setting up a custom domain. You can do so by:

We recommend using a custom domain so your customers feel they're still on your site and it's a seamless experience.

You can achieve this in 2 easy steps.

Enter the custom domain name you want (ex. checkout.[your site domain].com)
Create a custom CNAME record with your DNS provider.

Enter the custom domain name

In order for FleetWire.io to match your online store your custom domain name, you will need to set it up on FleetWire.io.

Go to Settings -> Checkout -> Custom Domain

Create a custom CNAME record

Log into your DNS provider (ex. NameCheap, GoDaddy, or Cloudflare)
Navigate to the DNS settings and add a new CNAME record.
Set the target (or point) to our servers here: custom.fleetwire.io

Here is an example with CloudFlare DNS provider:

Some notes:

Please use the target domain exactly as above.

DNS changes can take up to 72 hours to complete but most of the time just a few minutes; this is industry-wide.

Please use caution when changing the custom domain field after it is initially set as it could cause a disruption in the propagation period. Links sent to your customers (such as booking status pages, e-sign documents, receipts, etc) should be backward compatible after a change.

SSL

Once the DNS changes have propagated we will automatically set you up with a FREE SSL certificate so your customers will be secure when checking out, making payments, e-signing, & viewing their booking confirmation page. All this comes with your premium plan.
