🛠 How to Set Up and Manage Commission Partners



Follow these steps to add commission partners, create booking links, link them to vehicles, and test their integration in Fleetwire.

Step 1: Add a Commission Partner



Create a new commission partner profile to track their contributions.

In your Fleetwire dashboard, go to Settings > Providers > Commission Partners.
Click Add Partner to create a new partner profile.
Fill out the following fields:
- Name: The partner’s name (e.g., “John Doe”).
- Phone & Email: Their contact details for communication.
- Commission Type: Choose Percentage (e.g., 10% of the booking) or Flat Amount (e.g., $50 per booking).
- Commission Value: Set the amount (e.g., 10 for 10% or $50).
- Show on Main Menu: (Optional) Toggle this on to give the partner easier access to their dashboard.
Click Save to add the partner.

Pro Tip: Use a descriptive name (e.g., “John Doe - Referral Partner”) to quickly identify partners in your list!




Provide your partner with a custom booking link and optional dashboard access to track their performance.

After adding the partner, Fleetwire generates a Custom Booking Link for them (e.g., testcompany.fleetwire.io/partner/john-doe).
- Share this link with the partner—they can use it to drive reservations, and Fleetwire will automatically track their commissions.
(Optional) Grant Dashboard Access:
- Enable login access for the partner in their profile settings.
- They’ll see a restricted view of the dashboard, showing only their own bookings and payouts.
Ensure permissions are set—partners only see their own data, keeping other reservations private.

Note: Custom booking links ensure accurate tracking of partner-driven reservations without affecting your main store (e.g., testcompany.fleetwire.io).




Automatically pay commissions when specific vehicles are rented by linking partners to those vehicles.

Go to Listings and select a vehicle.
In the vehicle’s settings, find the Commission Partner section.
Select the partner from the dropdown (e.g., “John Doe”).
Save the changes—every time this vehicle is rented, the partner earns their commission automatically.

Quick Tip: This is perfect for partners who own or manage specific vehicles in your fleet!


Step 4: Test the Commission Partner Setup



Verify that the partner’s booking link, dashboard access, and vehicle commissions work as expected.

Use the partner’s custom booking link (e.g., testcompany.fleetwire.io/partner/john-doe) to create a test reservation.
Confirm the reservation appears in Orders with the partner’s commission applied (e.g., 10% of the booking value).
If the partner has dashboard access, log in as them to ensure they can only see their own bookings and payouts.
Test a booking with a vehicle linked to the partner to verify the commission is automatically applied.
