Setting up taxes

Working with the listing, location, and extra tax profiles.

To set up taxes, head over to Settings > Taxes

Listing tax profiles

You can create different listing tax profiles and assign them according to the tax requirements of a product. For example, some listings might be taxed at a different rate, or not at all.





The tax rates in the profile are charged over a listing when it's added to an order.
An order's total tax rate is the sum of all listing taxes on that order.

Applying tax profiles to listings

After a listing tax profile is created, you need to apply it to a listing.

View a listing and head over to its Pricing page.
Make sure the listing is taxable and select the product tax profile from the dropdown.






Applying tax profiles to locations

After a tax profile is created, you need to apply it to a location.

Create or update a delivery location Settings > Delivery locations
Make sure you check that the location is taxable and select the tax profile from the dropdown.



The tax rates in the profile are charged over a delivery location when it's added to an order.
An order's total tax rate is the sum of all listing taxes on that order.
