Price
Here you will set the pricing settings for a listing. It can be set to "none," "Fixed" for a fixed rate no matter the length of time, or "flat fee" for an hourly, daily, weekly or monthly fee.
Discountable
Here you can set if you want this listing to accept a discount, usually in the form of a coupon code. The listing can also be set up to receive a duration discount to encourage the customer to reserve the vehicle longer. Duration discounts can be 3, 7, or 30 days with their respective discount percentage. If the duration discounts are set, and the customer meets or exceeds the duration, the discount will apply automatically.
Security Deposit
Here set the security deposit to communicate to the renter at the checkout how much will be held for the reservation. Fleetwire can detect if the customer paid with a credit or debit/pre-paid card; therefore, you can communicate that there is a different security deposit hold if desired. This is helpful in cases where the deposit is insufficient to cover incidentals and you need to make an additional charge to the card on file (if accepted in your terms or rental agreement). Debit or pre-paid cards are likely to decline. Therefore, you can hedge the risk by holding a more significant amount before the rental starts.
Distance Allowance
Here you can set the distance allowance on the reservation. Options are unlimited or a set distance such as 300 miles (or kilometers). If a set distance is preferred, you can set a cost for going over the distance.
For example, you set a listing to have 300 miles per day limit with a $0.50 overage fee, and the renter reserves the vehicle for 1 day and drives 310 miles. The renter has exceeded the allowance and will be invoiced for $5 ( 10 miles x $0.50).
You can also cap the allowance.
For example, if you have an allowance for 300 miles per day and a renter reserves for 30 days, that's 9,000 miles. You can set a cap, say, a 2,000-mile allowance per reservation.
