Sync Fleetwire with Your Turo Account

Sync Fleetwire with Your Turo Account

Turo no longer offers third-party API access, so Fleetwire syncs with Turo through the notification emails Turo already sends you. When those emails are forwarded to Fleetwire, we read each new booking, change, and cancellation and block the matching listing on your Fleetwire calendar automatically.

Fleetwire never needs your Turo password.

Three steps are required. If any one of them is skipped, bookings will not appear on your calendar.

Step 1: Add Your Turo Account

  1. In Fleetwire, open Connections > Turo and click Add Turo account (or Add account if you've already connected one).
  2. Under Turo login email, enter the email address you use to sign in to Turo.
  3. Under Turo profile link, paste your Turo profile address. It looks like https://turo.com/us/en/drivers/555321. The number at the end on its own works too. Fleetwire shows the driver ID it found, so you can check it.
  4. Click Add account, and make sure the account's toggle is switched on.

Step 2: Forward Your Turo Emails to Fleetwire

Your company has a unique forwarding address, shown as Your forwarding address on the Turo connection page (with a Copy address button). Set up a rule in your mailbox so emails from Turo are forwarded there. Follow the guide for your email provider:

Use the mailbox that actually receives your Turo emails. If you log in to Turo with a different address than your main work email, set the rule up there.

Fleetwire Checks Your Forward for You

A forwarding rule can look right and still send nothing, so Fleetwire watches for your Turo emails:

  • The Turo connection page shows what has arrived: Working. Last Turo email … once emails come in, or Waiting for the first Turo email to arrive. right after you add your account.
  • If nothing has arrived two days after you add Turo, the page shows No Turo emails have reached Fleetwire yet. with setup steps for your email provider, and your account shows No emails received instead of Syncing.
  • The Connections page flags Turo as needing attention, with a Fix forwarding button.
  • We also email you on day 2 and day 7 after you add Turo if no Turo email has arrived.

If your company email runs on Microsoft 365, the steps include the admin setting that allows forwarding to outside addresses. Microsoft 365 blocks it by default, which is the most common reason a forward silently fails.

Step 3: Match Each Listing to Its Turo Vehicle

Fleetwire needs to know which of your listings each booking email belongs to.

  1. On Turo, open the vehicle's page and copy the number at the end of its URL. For .../tesla/model-3/123456, that's 123456.
  2. In Fleetwire, open the matching listing and click its Settings tab.
  3. Scroll to Connections and find Connect a Turo vehicle.
  4. Paste the number into Turo Vehicle ID. If you've connected more than one Turo account, choose the right one under Turo Account.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Repeat for every vehicle you list on Turo.

If a booking email arrives for a vehicle that isn't matched, Fleetwire notifies you but doesn't add the booking to your calendar.

What Turo Sync Does and Doesn't Do

It works one way: Turo to Fleetwire. When Turo emails you about a booking, change, or cancellation, Fleetwire updates that vehicle's calendar.

Fleetwire bookings don't block Turo. Turo doesn't allow other apps to change your Turo calendar. When you take a direct booking in Fleetwire, block those dates on Turo yourself.

Listings can't be imported from Turo. Add your vehicles in Fleetwire manually or by spreadsheet, then match each one in Step 3.

Booking requests aren't added until they're confirmed. A "wants to book your car" request is ignored. The trip is added once Turo emails you that it's booked.

How many Turo accounts can I connect? It depends on your plan:

What You'll See on Turo Orders

Each Turo order has a Turo Details card, filled in from Turo's trip emails:

  • Earnings: what you earn on the trip. Only team members who can see order financials see it.
  • Location: the pickup spot. When Turo's email includes a map, the card shows a map pin that opens in Google Maps. A spot without a name shows as "Pickup spot from Turo's map".
  • Open in Turo: a link straight to the reservation on Turo.

The miles included on the trip are saved to the booking, and the renter's Turo profile photo is used as their picture in Fleetwire.

Test It

  • Test the address: forward any recent "trip is booked" email from Turo to your forwarding address by hand. Within about a minute it should appear under Turo emails on the Turo connection page and as a block on your Calendar.
  • Test the automatic forward: on Turo, change your earnings plan and change it straight back. Turo emails you about the change, and your rule should pass it to Fleetwire within a few minutes.

Turo Bookings Aren't Showing Up?

Work through these in order.

  1. Check your Turo notification settings. On Turo, go to Account → Notification settings and make sure Email is ticked under Host & guest messages so guest messages come through too. Booking emails are always sent, so if you never see them, check that the email address on your Turo account is the mailbox with your forwarding rule, and look in your junk or spam folder.
  2. Check that Fleetwire is getting the emails. Open Turo emails on the Turo connection page. It lists every email that reached your forwarding address with Received, Type, Subject and Status (Processed or Not processed). If recent Turo emails aren't there, the forwarding rule isn't working:
    • Make sure the rule is set up in the mailbox that actually receives your Turo emails.
    • Make sure it forwards to the exact forwarding address shown on the Turo connection page.
    • If your email provider asked you to confirm the forwarding address and the code never arrived, contact us and we'll get it for you.
  3. The emails are there but the calendar isn't blocked. The vehicle probably isn't matched. Repeat Step 3 for that listing.
  4. Check the account is switched on. On the Turo connection page, make sure the toggle next to your Turo account is on.
  5. Turo canceled a trip without emailing you. Fleetwire can't see that. Remove the block from your calendar yourself.

Good to Know

  • Fleetwire only knows what Turo emails you. If Turo support cancels a trip without sending you an email, the block stays on your calendar until you remove it.
  • Forwarding only sends Turo's emails. Your other mail is never shared with Fleetwire.
